Patients with severe injuries of liver and abnormal liver function tests are at an increased risk. These patients may experience symptoms such as eating disorder, nausea
, vomiting, stomach pain
, and dark colored urine. Rare chances of liver damage have been reported with the use of Nimesulide. Discontinue the use of Nimesulide in patients with severe injuries of liver and abnormal liver function tests.
Use of Other Analgesics
Patients are advised to avoid the use of other analgesics
while undergoing treatment with Nimesulide.
History of Stomach and Intestinal Events
Patients with history of stomach and intestinal disorders are at an increased risk. Such patients may develop an increased risk of stomach and intestinal bleeding
and ulceration in the stomach. Take necessary precautions while using Nimesulide in patients with stomach and intestinal disorders. Discontinue the use of Nimesulide in patients who are developing the severe condition of the stomach and intestinal bleeding.
Kidney or Heart Damage
Elderly patients are particularly more susceptible to the side effects of NSAIDs
, including stomach and intestinal bleeding
and perforation, damaged kidney, heart and liver function. The use of Nimesulide 100mg tablets or granules may result in a decline of the functioning of kidneys. Caution is needed in patients with kidney or heart damage. In the case of decline, the treatment should be discontinued. Proper clinical monitoring should be advised.
Nimesulide can interfere with platelet
function. The patients who have the sensitivity to bleed (bleeding
diathesis) should use Nimesulide with caution.
Damaged Female Fertility
The use of 100mg tablets or granules of Nimesulide may damage the fertility condition of women. Nimesulide is not advised in women trying to conceive. Women who are undergoing research of infertility
, Nimesulide 100mg granules/ tablets should be withdrawn.
