Pregnant Women
Women during second and third trimester of
pregnancy are at an increased risk when using this medicine. Use of Eziday may cause side effects to an unborn baby which includes an incomplete development of the skull, failure of the kidneys to produce urine, low blood pressure, kidney failure, and can be possibly fatal. Discontinue the use of Eziday as soon as pregnancy is detected.
Decreased Blood Volume And Salt Level
Such patients may have a decrease in blood pressure while using Eziday. A low dose is recommended before starting the therapy with Eziday.
Worsening of the Functioning of Kidneys
Patients using Eziday are at an increased risk of kidney failure due to obstruction in the activity of the renin-angiotensin system and
diuretics which helps to control the high blood pressure conditions. Consider proper monitoring or discontinuation of the therapy in patients who develop a decrease in the functioning of kidneys while using Eziday.
Increased Potassium Levels in the Blood (Hyperkalemia)
Hyperkalemic patients are at an increased when using this medicine. Proper monitoring of
potassium levels in the blood is achieved by discontinuation or lowering the dose of Eziday in such patients.
Abnormal Functioning of the Liver
Such patients may have increased levels of Eziday in the blood. A low dose of Eziday should be given to patients with a history of abnormal liver functioning.
Heart And Brain Diseases
These patients may have an increased risk of heart attack or
stroke.
Heart Failure
Patients with heart failure are at an increased risk when using this medicine. These patients may have an increased risk of severe low blood pressure and abnormal functioning of the kidney. Take necessary precautions while using this medicine in these patients.
Blood Pressure Lowering Agents
Such patients may have an increased risk of high
potassium levels in blood, low blood pressure and kidney failure. The combined therapy of these agents with Eziday is not recommended as it may lead to blockage of the renin-angiotensin-aldosterone system.
Electrolyte Imbalance
Patients with abnormal functioning of the kidney with or without
diabetes are at an increased risk when using this medicine. Such patients may have an increased risk of high
potassium levels in the blood in diabetic patients with kidney disease. Careful monitoring of potassium levels in the blood and kidney parameter (
creatinine clearance value) is required in patients with heart failure.
Abnormally Thickened Heart Muscles
Patients with narrowing of large blood vessels of heart or abnormally thickened heart muscles are at increased risk while usimg this medicine. Eziday should be taken with caution in such patients.
Increased Hormonal Levels (Aldosterone)
Children with abnormal functioning of the kidney are at an increased risk when using this medicine. Such patients will not respond adequately to blood pressure lowering effects. Use of Eziday is not recommended in these patients.
