Precautions

Before using Meliane Tablet, inform your doctor about your current list of medications, over the counter products (e.g. vitamins, herbal supplements, etc.), allergies, pre-existing diseases, and current health conditions (e.g. pregnancy, upcoming surgery, etc.). Some health conditions may make you more susceptible to the side-effects of the drug. Take as directed by your doctor or follow the direction printed on the product insert.   • Age above 35 years
  • Avoid smoking during drug intake

  • Irregular bleeding may occur during the first few months of use; however, contact doctor if bleeding continue after the first few months of use
  • Monitor blood glucose as this medication may increase blood sugar levels
  • Patients with acute or chronic disturbances of liver

  • Patients with galactose intolerance
  • Patients with hepatic impairment

When not to use Meliane Tablet

Hypersensitivity to Meliane Tablet is a contraindication. In addition, Meliane Tablet should not be used if you have the following conditions:
  • Active liver disease
  • Avoid postoperative thromboembolism
  • Coronary and cerebrovascular diseases or a history of it
  • Diabetes mellitus with vascular involvement
  • Disturbed lipometabolism
  • Hereditary thrombophilia
  • History of jaundice during past pregnancy
  • History of pancreatitis if associated with severe hypertriglyceridemia
  • Hyperlipidaemia
  • Hypersensitivity to this drug

Missing a dose

Overdosage of Meliane Tablet
