Proscar Tablet is eaten with or without food. Swallow the whole medicine and do not crush or divide the tablet.
The typical dose of Proscar is 1 mg/day. This medicine is typically used for a period of 6 months for prostate gland enlargement. Proscar is commonly used at the same time every day. This medicine is not known to be habit-forming.
This medicine is to be used for longer periods of time. This medicine should be used for at least 6 months to achieve a satisfactory treatment response. You should continue to use this medicine as directed by the doctor even if you feel well.
Talk to your doctor if you develop new symptoms. Tell your doctor if
depression, suicidal thoughts, and depressed mood.

To prevent any harm to an unborn baby, if you are pregnant or planning to become pregnant, you should avoid any contact with Proscar. Wash your hands thoroughly after handling or coming in contact with Proscar.
You should store
Proscar Tablet at room temperature, 15-30°C (59-86°F), and away from moisture. Store the
medicine away from the reach of children and
pets.
Medicines may be prescribed for uses other than those listed in the medicine guide. Do not use
Proscar Tablet for conditions for which it was not prescribed. Do not give Proscar Tablet to other people who might have the same conditions or symptoms that you have. Self-medication may harm them.
